It started with a loss.
When someone in Paul's family passed away, it hit us how little we actually knew. When exactly did that happen again? Where did he live? And that story he always used to tell, how did it go?
We wanted to preserve our family history, build a family tree, collect memories. But what we found was frustrating: tools that looked like they were built in the 90s. Subscription models that cost more than Netflix. Features nobody actually needs. So we built what we wished existed.
What's left of a life?
Usually just a name and two dates on a headstone. Maybe a few photos, but those only capture moments, never the whole story. The stories that made someone who they were? The quirks, the favorite sayings, the little moments around the Sunday breakfast table? Those get lost. Every time someone passes, a piece of family history disappears forever.
